MADE IN INDIA Open Source Hardware Platform

RUGGEDBOARD

Highlights

  • Off-the-shelf Single Board Computer for IIoT

  • Freedom to modify Schematics and layout sources of the Carrier board & Sensor modules

  • A proven process for Prototyping till Mass Manufacturing

  • Feature-rich & Highly cost-optimized platform

  • Simple & Powerful Open Source Software IoT Stack

SOFTWARE ECO-SYSTEM

Simple coding with production-ready RuggedBoard supports Python, C, C++ and enabled with industry-standard LibMraa, UPM libraries which make almost all applications ready to be built in minutes.

PLUG AND PLAY MODULE ECO-SYSTEM

Interacting with the Physical World with the modular design of a number of sensing and actuation modules is just like plug and play. Modularity offers benefits such as a reduction in cost due to less customization, shorter learning time, and flexibility in design, augmentation (adding new solution by merely plugging in a new module). The UPM software library provides ready APIs for these Hardware Modules.

About Us

RuggedBoard is an Open Source Hardware & Software initiative to align with the fast-growing Semiconductor technologies with a switch from classic to modern product development strategy & process. The usage of System On Module over a System On Chip is the most rapid way to achieve time to market, curtail development risks for product quantities ranging from few to thousands. RuggedBoard team targets to combine the Open Source Community strength with Industrial-Grade SOM and initiated the first Open Source Hardware "RuggedBoard-A5D2x" which is powered by phyCORE-A5D2 SOM with Microchip SAMA5D2x SoC, Cortex-A5 Core @500 MHz. The Open Source IoT stack based on Intel MRAA & UPM developed in C/C++ have high performance and provides programmers with its ease of programming in Python/C/C++/nodeJs.
